Fairmont Olympic Hotel is currently seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Desk Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. As the Housekeeping Desk Attendant, you will serve as the communication hub for the department, coordinating room assignments, responding to guest requests, supporting housekeeping colleagues, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Your exceptional customer service, organizational skills, and ability to multitask will help create an exceptional experience for both our guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary communication point for the Housekeeping department, answering phones and responding to guest and colleague requests promptly and professionally.

• Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Engineering, and the Front Office to ensure guest rooms are cleaned, inspected, and ready on time.

• Assign and update room statuses using the hotel's property management and housekeeping systems.

• Dispatch guest requests, maintenance requests, and special room requirements to the appropriate departments.

• Maintain accurate records of room assignments, lost and found items, out-of-order rooms, and departmental reports.

• Monitor housekeeping progress throughout the shift and communicate priorities to ensure efficient operations.

• Provide exceptional guest service by handling requests and resolving concerns in a timely and courteous manner.

• Support the housekeeping leadership team with administrative tasks and daily operational needs.

• Follow all hotel safety, security, and service standards.

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a housekeeping preferred

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for cleanliness and aesthetics

• Proficient in using housekeeping management systems or software

• Ability to handle guest concerns and resolve issues effectively

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

• Must hold authorization to work in the USA

Physical Requirements Include:

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift

• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs

• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
