Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Product Owner – Hardware & Equipment to define and drive the vision, roadmap, and development of our hardware and equipment products from concept through series production. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering teams, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure our products deliver maximum value, meet market needs, and are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, aligned with company strategy
Gather and structure requirements from customers, market research, and internal teams
Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation
Backlog & Requirements Management
Translate requirements into epics, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria
Prioritize the product backlog, balancing value, risk, cost, and time to market
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and supply chain teams
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, customers, and leadership
Represent product interests in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and planning sessions
Technical Oversight
Evaluate trade-offs between technical solutions, manufacturability, cost, and quality
Oversee all stages of product development from design through production readiness
Delivery & Performance Monitoring
Track product progress, team performance, and key metrics
Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments
Stakeholder Communication
Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
Ensure goals, priorities, and dependencies remain transparent across teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification
3–5+ years of professional experience in hardware product development, electronics development, systems engineering, or technical project management
Solid understanding of PCB design, electronic assemblies, EMC, mechanics, power supply, manufacturing processes, component availability, and cost considerations
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and product backlog management
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
