About Field AI
Field AI builds field foundation models that bring real autonomy to robots working in the physical world — on construction sites, across facilities, and out in the field. We automate the dull, dirty, and dangerous work across the entire lifecycle of an asset, delivering immediate value to the people who build, operate, and own it, and turning every piece of data we collect into queryable insight. Our edge is generalization: autonomy that transfers across sites, customers, and industries instead of being rebuilt for each one.
About the role
Urban operations is where Field AI’s intelligence has to be right in real time, at the edge, with property and sometimes safety on the line. You’ll own our detection and intelligence product line: real-time perception that turns raw sensor feeds into decisions, and the reporting and dashboards that turn detections into action. Your work is the difference between a system that merely records and one that understands — and between an operator buried in false alarms and one who trusts the single alert that matters.
What you’ll do
Own the customer problem — run discovery with customers, field teams, and deployment engineers, and turn what you hear into a prioritized, evidence-backed problem list, not a wish list.
Own the roadmap and the scope — define, sequence, and commit scope with clear acceptance criteria, replacing vague, half-finished requirements with crisp ones engineering can build.
Partner with engineering day to day — lead the technical discussions that turn a customer problem into the most elegant solution, not the first one.
Run a disciplined intake — rank needs in priority order: customer feedback first, then field and deployment engineers, then development engineers, so the loudest wish never outranks the real need.
Own go-to-market for the vertical — shape the positioning and narrative, build sales-enablement materials, and partner closely with sales as the product’s voice for the industry.
Calibrate with data — close the loop with usage data and field feedback; retire what isn’t landing and double down on what is.
Build on the platform — partner with the core platform team and build once, so every solution generalizes to the next customer and the next site.
What you’ll own
The detection and intelligence product line — real-time perception and scene understanding running at the edge, plus the reporting and insights UI that turn detections into operator decisions.
The full customer journey for security and urban-operations accounts, in close partnership with our field deployment teams.
What we’re looking for
Proven product management experience (5+ years), including shipping SaaS or software products end to end.
Security or urban-operations industry experience — you’ve built for, sold into, or worked hands-on with physical security, surveillance, or urban / facility operations, and you understand how these buyers evaluate, procure, and deploy.
Deep customer empathy and strong discovery skills — you turn messy field reality into a prioritized problem list, not a wish list.
A track record of owning scope — defining it, sequencing it, and committing to it — and driving crisp technical discussions with engineers.
Excellent communication — you can shape a go-to-market narrative and enable a sales team as the product’s voice for the vertical.
Bonus points
Robotics, autonomy, computer vision, or hardware experience — a strong plus.
Familiarity with computer vision, edge inference, or real-time detection and alerting systems.
Why Field AIYou’ll own a product line at a company bringing real autonomy to the physical world — working directly with marquee customers and a world-class robotics and AI team, with the mandate to turn a genuinely hard problem into a product an entire industry runs on.
