What’s the role?
We're looking for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis who's equal parts strategic thinker and hands on builder. Above all, this role needs someone who is proactively analytical - someone who doesn’t wait to be asked a question, but digs into the numbers on their own, spots what matters, and shows up with actionable insights before leadership even knows to ask. You'll lead our forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning efforts, turning numbers into insights that help the business make smarter decisions.
This role is all about connecting the dots. You'll develop meaningful P&L and KPI reporting, keep a close pulse on financial performance, and help leaders understand what's happening, why it matters, and where we're headed next. Whether you're building forecasts, analyzing trends, or partnering with teams across the company, you'll bring clarity, curiosity, and a bias toward action to everything you do.
What you’ll do to be successful
1.) Provide strategic financial guidance
• Own the company’s budgeting, forecasting and business analysis including reporting, process improvement and simplification.
• Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, building the executive facing narrative on performance vs budget, forecast and prior year.
• Present financial and operating results directly to the leadership team and support them in evaluating strategic decisions, capital allocation and ROI.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to department leads helping shape their planning assumptions, to ensure FP&A alignment with stated objectives and goals, providing analysis and ad hoc reporting. Ensure financial material from teams have been properly vetted and key issues discussed.
• Analyze and extract insights from complex data across business segments; communicate them concisely to stakeholders.
• Perform monthly financial analysis for each business segment on key metrics and financial drivers. Support review and development of presentation material for executive meetings.
• Fulfill ad-hoc and regular requests to drive corporate performance and key decision making.
2.) Manage reporting and ensure compliance
• Lead financial due diligence and internal financial reporting, translating findings into recommendations for the executive team.
• Own the FP&A systems and reporting infrastructure including deciding where automation, tooling, or process redesign will improve efficiency.
• Ensure financial process controls and discipline are in place and aligned with financial accounting.
• Set the standard for how business partners across the company report and analyze financial performance, including PL variance and CapEX.
Experience & skills you’ll need
• 8-10+ years of progressive senior FP&A experience.
• Deep finance analysis, modeling, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proven leadership skills.
• High competency in understanding of financial accounting and GAAP.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Looker, Salesforce, Intacct, Pigment or other planning software.
