Broad Function and Purpose of Position:
Manage a wide variety of Human Resources generalist duties including policies, procedures, safety, benefits, compensation, performance management, labor relations and staffing.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain cost-effective recruitment and selection activities, including working with hiring managers to develop selection criteria, prepare job requisitions, and post internal job openings
• Analyze headcount, turnover, and personnel statistics to recommend new or revised employment policies and procedures
• Administer personnel transactions including increases, promotions, transfers, terminations, and performance appraisals; maintain all related employment records
• Direct compensation plan application, including preparation of Position Descriptions, Salary Administration, and Performance Review processes
• Administer company benefits and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits information
• Direct employee development and training efforts, including coordination of on-site training and maintenance of training records
• Prepare and maintain the Affirmative Action Program
• Administer workers compensation reporting and communications to minimize work-related liabilities
• Direct Labor Relations efforts, including grievance administration, collective bargaining, and contract administration
• Represent the organization in Workers Compensation, Unemployment Compensation, Legal, and Community matters
• Coordinate employee separations and conduct exit interviews
• Supervise Plant Human Resources department employees and manage payroll at the plant level
• Monitor employee attendance policy and sponsor Employee Relations events
• Collaborate with EHS to direct safety efforts within the facility
• Perform special projects and other assignments as required by Local or Corporate Management
Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 5-7 years of solid Human Resources experience. Detail oriented professional.
• Proven leadership and organizational experience. PC literate with our prevailing software and systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving ability. Dedicated to customer satisfaction and excellent interpersonal skills.
