ALSO is looking for a Head of Operations, Europe to lead the setup and management of our European operations from our Deinze, Belgium base—owning logistics, warehousing, and facility management end to end while working closely with HQ purchasing, production, and commercial teams.
What You Will Do
- Set up and manage our 3PL relationships across Europe, organizing the flow of goods through third-party logistics suppliers from process design through execution.
- Negotiate terms and conditions for goods clearance, stock keeping, and value-added services, under the lead of HQ.
- Design and own, end to end, the outbound and inbound goods flow process for the European territory.
- Ensure the right goods are in the right place at the right time, maintaining product availability to meet demand.
- Partner closely with HQ purchasing, production, and commercial teams to align on forecasting, allocation, and delivery windows.
- Drive the build-out of our ERP system to automate restocking, goods allocation, order management, picking, returns, and administration.
- Build an effective, transparent logistics flow that customers find easy to understand and work with.
- Manage and integrate our Deinze warehouse and office facility, including offices, aftersales, and warehousing for warranty and spare parts.
- Oversee daily facility management, from organizing purchases to maintaining a clean and happy place to work.
- Operate hands-on as the sole team member initially, while preparing to lead and expand the team as the business scales.
What You Will Bring
- Experience setting up operations and warehouse(s), with a strong understanding of how to install and run warehousing processes and systems.
- Experience in multi-country logistics.
- Highly organized, with flawless administrative oversight.
- A hands-on mentality suited to building from scratch, with an agile, entrepreneurial approach rather than a large corporate working style.
- Customer-oriented, delivering build-to-order solutions with transparent communication and expectations.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written; German is a plus.
- Comfortable operating independently in the early stages while preparing to lead a growing team.
The salary for this position ranges from EUR 90,000 - 105,000 (80/20 split) per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. We offer a hybrid work model 3 - 5 days a week based out of our Deinze office.
