In this medical logistics role, you will coordinate the movement, storage, tracking, and replenishment of clinical materials in a geographically isolated healthcare setting. Your work connects the clinic, purchasing and supply-chain personnel, and equipment support teams to maintain dependable access to pharmaceuticals, dental supplies, consumables, and medical equipment. Long-lead items and annual supply planning are an important part of the workflow.

Because deliveries and replenishment require planning, you will pay close attention to product condition, expiry dates, quantities, and traceable movement records. The role also connects medical supply readiness with emergency equipment support, including communication about stock shortages or serviceability concerns before they affect the clinic. Pharmacy-related accountability work is limited to authorized responsibilities.

Employment Type: Full-time

Assignment Details: This position requires relocation to Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory, for the duration of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory records, stock counts, reconciliations, item movements, expiration dates, lot numbers, and adjustments for medical and dental materials.

• Receive, verify, store, distribute, and track supplies and equipment; maintain shipment, packing, and accountability documentation.

• Coordinate forecasts, long-lead replenishment, and annual supply coverage planning with purchasing, logistics, and clinical partners.

• Support equipment inspections, calibration, preventive maintenance coordination, and reporting of serviceability concerns.

• Maintain proper storage and handling for temperature-sensitive products, sterile supplies, and pharmaceuticals; support controlled-substance controls within authorized duties.

• Escalate shortages, discrepancies, loss or diversion concerns, and safety risks while maintaining appropriate inventory and privacy safeguards.

You will bring order and reliability to the supply processes clinicians depend on for routine care and emergency readiness.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, inventory management, or warehousing.

• Ability to relocate to Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia for the duration of the assignment and meet applicable site access and personnel approval requirements.

• Availability for established clinic hours, assigned on-call arrangements and emergency response requirements; ability to read, write, and speak English for effective communication.

• Ability to work seated or standing for prolonged periods, with bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs as required.

Preferred

• Experience supporting medical or healthcare supply operations.

• Associate degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification, awarded in any country or jurisdiction.

• Experience providing healthcare in international, island-based, or operational healthcare environments.
