SUMMARY:
The New York Liberty Seasonal Internship is a part-time, paid program that runs from October 14th, 2026 to May 13th, 2027. Start and end dates can be flexible depending on your academic calendar.
The program is located at our Industry City Corporate Headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. New York Liberty Summer Interns are expected to work about 20-40 hours per week with some days expected to be in office and other days remote. Each intern will be assigned to a specific department in which they will remain or rotate for the duration of the program.

Community Impact Intern
Summary: The Community Impact Intern supports the team’s community and philanthropic efforts by helping develop, execute, and amplify meaningful programs and initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in community engagement, social impact, and cross-functional collaboration.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will support community activations, charitable giving, ticket distributions, and the Brooklyn Nets & New York Liberty Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle while tracking and communicating the team’s community impact efforts. You’ll also build relationships with community organizations and collaborate across departments to bring impactful Liberty programs and initiatives to life.
WHO YOU ARE: You are an adaptable, organized, and solution-oriented individual who brings energy and passion to a fast-paced environment. You’re a resourceful, reliable teammate with strong time management skills and a collaborative approach to supporting both your department and the broader organization.
Marketing Intern
Summary: The Marketing Intern supports digital initiatives, season planning, and integrated campaigns. This role provides hands-on experience in campaign development, asset management, fan engagement, and event marketing.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will support the planning and execution of NY Liberty tentpole campaigns, manage marketing assets and schedules, research industry best practices, and assist with sweepstakes and fan engagement activations. You’ll also provide onsite event support, maintain campaign tracking materials, and help develop recaps that capture campaign performance and impact.
WHO YOU ARE: You are an organized, creative, and proactive individual with a passion for sports marketing, fan engagement, and bringing campaigns to life. You’re a collaborative and detail-oriented teammate who is eager to contribute ideas, manage multiple priorities, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Partnership Marketing Intern
Summary: The Partnerships Intern supports the management and growth of corporate partner relationships while contributing to sponsorship marketing strategies and activations. This role provides hands-on experience in partnership management, client services, and creative ideation within the exciting landscape of women’s sports.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will support Liberty sponsor accounts by contributing to marketing strategies, partner events, client requests, and ongoing partner communications. You’ll also research growth opportunities, develop end-of-season recap materials, and contribute creative ideas and planning for future Liberty partnership initiatives.
WHO YOU ARE: You are a creative, out-of-the-box thinker with a passion for women’s sports, the New York Liberty, and the WNBA. You’re an adaptable, organized, and solutions-oriented teammate who brings confidence, resourcefulness, and energy to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Public Relations Intern
Summary: The Public Relations Intern supports communications and media relations efforts surrounding Liberty players, offseason basketball activities, community initiatives, and organizational programs. This role provides hands-on experience in sports communications, storytelling, media relations, and player-focused PR within the women’s basketball landscape.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will monitor media coverage, track player statistics and storylines, identify compelling media opportunities, and develop press releases, advisories, player bios, and other communications materials. You’ll also support player media relations, community events, partnerships, and organizational initiatives while helping tell impactful NY Liberty stories throughout the offseason.
WHO YOU ARE: You are a detail-oriented and skilled communicator with a strong understanding of basketball, media trends, and compelling sports storytelling. You’re organized, adaptable, and professional in player-facing environments, with strong writing skills and an interest in sports information, journalism, public relations, or communications.
COMPENSATION
Our seasonal internship program compensation is $18 per hour. Interns are expected to work between 20-40 hours per week.
Requirements:
• This program is designed for college seniors, students engaged in graduate studies, or recent graduates.
• All interns must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
• All roles will require onsite work. You may be required to work hours at Barclays Center or the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center in addition to our headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn,
• You may be required to work outside of standard business hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays, to fulfill primary role objectives.
