Coho Construction Management is seeking an experienced General Civil Engineer. This remote role requires travel and will support Quality Assurance (QA) support activities for a large federal customer.  The work would be focused on providing subject matter expertise for the owner in support of a nationwide, design and construction program.  The ideal candidate will have five or more years of industry experience as a designer of civil, site improvements combined with some field experience assuring compliance with plans and specifications on federal projects.  Existing or recent security clearance a plus but not required.

This is a part-time on-call position. It's an estimated 200 hours of work within six months.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Support design reviews from concept through Issued for Construction (IFC).

• Perform quality assurance surveillance, prepare QA reports.

• Perform onsite construction QA inspections, identify potential construction issues.

• Support development of scopes of work (SOW) for potential construction modifications.

• Conduct preliminary review of construction contractor claims.

• Review contractor cost proposals and change orders.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

• Active clearance preferred, but not required.

• Required Experience:

• The Civil Engineer shall have a minimum of at least five (5) years in experience.

• Skills and Abilities

• Active PE License.

Position Pay Range

$52—$70 USD
